What is the Sign up process for Support Coordinators?
1. Sign up with your email and create password.
2. Verify your email & fill in business details
3. Add participants to your dashboard
4. Send them a sign up form, or do it yourself.
5. Start browsing housemate matches
Is Marco Polo Portal Nationwide?
Yes, Marco Polo is available nationwide.
Participants and coordinators can create profiles and explore matches across Australia.
At the time of writing, our strongest cohorts are in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, where we’re seeing the most active matching.
We’re continuing to grow nationally as more participants and providers come on board.
Does Marco Polo you provide the houses or the support?
No, Marco Polo doesn’t provide housing or direct supports.
We’re an independent matching platform. We help participants find compatible housemates and connect with suitable SIL providers, but we don’t own properties or deliver support ourselves.
That independence matters. It means the focus stays on finding the right fit, not filling a vacancy or pushing a particular service provider.
How do I gain consent from the participant to disclose thier details?
There are three ways to do this:
1. You can invite the participant to complete their own profile by selecting “they will need their own messaging” during sign-up. This keeps consent direct and participant-led.
2. You can use your existing consent forms and include Marco Polo as a platform the participant agrees to disclose information on.
3. We’re currently building an in-platform consent feature, which will be launching soon, which will track consent for you to complete thier profile.
All three options allow you to stay compliant while keeping the participant at the centre of the process.
